Meihodo festival to screen Iran’s ‘The Savior’

Iranian ‘The Savior’ is to take part in the Meihodo Int'l Youth Visual Media Festival in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘The Savior’ has been set to take part in the Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival (MIYVMF) in the US.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘The Savior’ will be screened at the 4th edition of the MIYVMF.

Written and directed by Soheila Pourmohammadi, the film tells the story of a girl who has recently witnessed the death of her mother.

The cast members of the film include Mahmoud Taqavi and Setia Asadi.

The MIYVMF is an independent film festival. It is hosted by the Japanese corporation, Meihodo Inc., which is “working to support and promote young international creators and provide a platform for cultural conversations between film producers from all over the world”, the website of the event reads.

The festival aims to “bring young visual artists from around the world together to celebrate the art of filmmaking”.

The MIYVMF will announce the winners on February 22.
